The completely buried 1.2
Million Gallon Reservoir sited near a nordic ski trail is a major component of the Town's water treatment and storage facilities
and provide emergency and domestic storage for the growing Summit
County community adjacent to Lake Dillon. There's hope that the
tank site may become becoming a training site for telemarking! Sensitivity
to the environment, recreation opportunities and visual aspects
of the site were key factors in site planning.
Test holes up to 50 feet in depth and a geological
investigation were conducted by Bates Engineering's sub-consultant,
Hepworth-Pawlak Geotechnical, Inc. Site surveys have been performed
by Range West, Inc. Both sub-consultants offices are located in
Summit County.
Grimm Construction Co., Inc. is the general contractor.
Their staff includes Wayne O'Brien Project Manager, Peter Marsh,
Project Engineer, and Wes Conaway, Superintendent.
